The definition of mediocrity.Nothing was particularly good about this place. You go in and its a diner type restaurant as most Big Stop's are. The place looks a bit dull and drab but its a truck stop, can't really expect more. The service was just ok. Perhaps a bit on the slow side but not terribly. The service would have been better had the servers paid the same attention to all patrons as they do the people they know or those who visit regularly. This would be a great example of bad good service. Bad for the stragers, good for the locals.I ordered the fish and chips. The 2 piece was about 9.95. Being a big stop I was expecting a large order but I was a bit dissapointed when it arrived. The 2 pieces of fish where a bit smallish and the plate was piled with fries. For the price they should have thrown in the third piece. As for the quality of the food there is not much to say. It was just an average meal. It could have been better, should have been better for the price. Next time i want fish and chips in Truro I may stop at Delux.
