Pros:
Niche vegetarian/vegan market with comfortable atmosphere.
Cons:
Not much variety. Too pricey for what you receive. My husband,I and my folks were all sick after.

Calactus is a nice looking restaurant with a niche market of vegetarian and vegan customers. Mostly mexican-style food. My husband and I have been here a couple of times as we have family members who are vegan. Service is always good and prompt. Last time we went my folks were with us. We each had something different from the menu (I had lasagna) and it all looked good and smelled good. My lasagna was meatless of course, but it did have cheese and veggies. It was an average tasting meal and overpriced for the quality. Quantity was good. Unfortunely, not a half and hour after leaving the restaurant, all 4 of us had upset stomachs and diarrhea. This happened the first time my husband and I were there too. I am wondering if maybe there was something in the meals that we just aren't used to eating? Our vegan family members didn't seem to have any problems with their meals, but all the rest of us did. We will not be going back, but our vegan family members keep going back and really like it there. They agree it is overpriced as well, but there aren't many places they can eat out at.
