Pros: Most of the food was delicious.
Cons: The portion sizes were small and much was overpriced.

T-Bones is a quiet little hole in the wall in the Crowne Plaza that allows for a relaxed evening in either their bar or restaurant, but could be improved upon.

Atmosphere - The atmosphere is good but there needs to be some more division between the tables to allow a somewhat more private dining experience.

Service - The server was pleasant but for the small amount of patrons in the restaurant that she was servicing she needed to be more attentive. Overall she was ok but needed to be more 'available' to our table of 10.

Menu - Having heard the menu was excellent from a friend (who was with us) I was surprised to see how small it was (as was my friend who said it changed since his last visit). Limited by the menu I set forth to order.

Food - My appetizer (Mushroom beef soup) was more like beef flavored water and the allure of having fresh mushrooms in it was shot down with the small tidbits that the 'soup' contained, at $8.95 it was was a complete waste. The main course was excellent (cheese stuffed chicken) but the portion was so small I could have eaten it again and had room for dessert, at $22 I was disappointed. Dessert was a fantastic Creme Brule that was displayed to you on a tray of dilectables not revealing the price. It was a small 2 inch by 2 inch creme oval on top of about a 3 inch sugar cookie, although tasty, when I saw the receipt and it was $7 I was shocked (my wife's miniscule cheesecake slice was also $7).

The Wine - The wines that we chose (one french, one italian and their names escape me) were excellent. The only issue I have, as with most restaurant's, if their are wines made in your province/state/city then at least one of them should be on your menu.

Summary - Overall I was somewhat disappointed with my experience at T-Bones and likely this will be my only stop there. The food mostly was good but substantially overpriced for the portion size, the atmosphere was nice but not excellent as was the service.

Cheers!

JL

Pros: The lobster benedict.
Cons: No cons

T-Bones is the new Restaurant at the Crown Plaza on the corner of Highfield St. and Main St. On a Friday morning we arrived for breakfast and were promptly seated. In no time the waitress served us our orange juice and took our orders. Not long after we were served. When we were done the bill was ready for us to pay. Over all the service was very fast and friendly.

On this morning the restaurant was quiet, there restaurant was about half full at the time. Many people where reading the paper and the majority of them were likely staying at the hotel.

The breakfast menu was short, likely because they have a daily breakfast buffet for about $12. However, I was not in the mood for the buffet especially after seeing lobsters benedict on the menu. I had to try it. If you like egg's benedict and you like lobster, you will love this dish. If I recall the price was about $12 and was worth every penny. The hollandaise sauce was a perfect complement for the lobster. I highly recommend this to everyone. The only thing I would like to have seen was a touch more hollandaise sauce with the meal.

As for the price range for the breakfast menu, you will easily find cheaper breakfasts in town, but these guys and a few unique choices that you will not find else where as far as I know. T-bones is worth a morning visit, if the menu is not what you are looking for opt for their buffet (hot/cold).
