Pros: The view is nice...either cars, joggers or the Greco.
Cons: Parking. Difficult to get onto Coverdale Road if you park out front.

On a Saturday afternoon, I ventured to Steve's 50's Diner to get some much anticipated grub. When we arrived the place was empty; which is a great thing for me at 4pm. The waiter promptly showed us to a booth which had a view of Coverdale road. After seating us he quickly brought us the menus. I decided on the fish and chips as my meal cuz there's nothing I like more than that!

The large size fish and chips consist of fries(or your choice of side), coleslaw and either peas, corn or carrots. Now, unfortunately as some of you may know from previous rants on the previous website, I disagree with coleslaw being served as an appetizer. It should, nay MUST be served with the meal. I hope that someday legislators will come to their senses and put this into law.

The plate consisted 8 or 9 golf ball sized pieces of fish and a disappointing amount scrawny fries. And the peas were obviously from a can...hmmm...maybe they borrowed some canned veggies from the Homestead. The fish was inconsistent. One piece was dry and the next one was moist. And the batter was harder than what I like. The price is normally $11.95 but on this day was $10.95. The service was very speedy considering the time of day. Just as we were leaving the supper rush was going on. Overall, I would say that the diner experince was average - the only thing missing was a chain-smoking waitress named Kitty.
