Pros: The Food was awesome. Staff was very welcoming. Chef was great to watch as he created our dishes.
Cons: location--one would expect this calibre restaurant in a big city. Georgetown is still discovering it

We discovered this place by accident and were very pleasently surprised. We ordered calamari, mussels to start. My wife said they were the most tender calamari she had. Perfectly cooked not rubbery like she usually gets at other places. The mussels were excellent, fresh, plump and full of taste. I couldn't get enough of the sauce it was awesome. We ordered the lasagna, spaghetti carbonara next. The portions were huge yet we couldn't stop eating. It was too good. The last time we enjoyed italian food this good was when we visited Italy. Zio's managed to bring back those great memories. Our meal was only complimented by the great bottle of wine that the owner imported from Italy which our server highly reccommended. We finished our meal with tiramisu(definitely the real stuff), espresso, lemoncello, fine grappa. The live music was a nice touch, not loud or intrusive. The staff was very welcoming and attentative. The highlight was when the chef/owner went to every table himself. He seemed genually interested in our evening and was gracious enough to share some cooking tips with my wife. We reccommend Zio's highly and will be back with friends many more times.
